Fashion Forward

Finding that perfect dress or outfit for prom or graduation can be stressful and the pricetag can often be overwhelming.
A program called “Fashion Forward” at a local high school, is providing free dresses and suits for students who otherwise couldn’t afford them.
Chloe Neville is graduating this year and has just found the dress she’s going to wear to prom. Neville is keeping her eye out for that perfect dress while volunteering at “Fashion Forward”, a pop up prom and grad wear event at M.M. Robinson Highschool in Burlington.
Diedra Stajduhar from M.M. Robinson says students can go, browse, try on and take them for free. The suits and dresses have all been donated, and they’re free for grade 8 and 12 students.
Emily Kearns is also a volunteer for the program and says, “There are a lot of students that can’t pay for prom dresses, grad dresses because of their financial situation. It’s great that they can come find a dress that they see and like and just have it.”
There are two more Fashion Forward events on April 19th and 24th from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
