Environment Canada confirms tornado north of Waterloo

Environment Canada has confirmed that an EF-2 tornado touched down in Teviotdale around 9 o’clock last night.

Winds reached 180-220 kilometres per hour.

Environment Canada says two homes were significantly damaged from the tornado. A roof was torn off of a bungalow, and two walls completely collapsed on another home.

Thousands of people across Southern Ontario were left without power after thunderstorms hit last night.
