Eizenga Appeal Upheld
The Ontario Court of Appeal has upheld the fraud conviction of a St. Catharines man who bilked investors out of more than 40-million dollars.
The court has lowered the amount Mark Eizenga has to pay his victims — from more than 35-million dollars down to 20 million.
About 800 investors, mostly from southwestern Ontario, lost their life savings in the scam.
