Eid al-Fitr celebrations fill Hamilton Downtown Mosque

Today, Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid-al-Fitr – the day where Muslims end their Ramadan fast.

People filled the Hamilton Downtown Mosque this morning to share in the celebrations and pray. Friends and families greeted each other warmly.

Imam Sayed Tora is with the Hamilton Downtown Mosque and told us how his community is coming together to show gratitude.

“It’s a day of happiness. It’s a day of celebration and showing gratitude to god,” said Tora.
