Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in the newest from Bourne Identity director Doug Liman, Edge of Tomorrow. Set in a not so distant future in which humans are at war with invading aliens, Cruise stars as Major William Cage a military officer who has never seen combat until he is drafted into a suicide mission. Dying minutes into combat, Cage finds himself in a time loop – forced to repeat the same losing battle again and again, dying and returning every time.

Maybe it’s just us but Edge of Tomorrow seems like an cinematic exploration into the mind of a fps video game avatar.

Expect Edge of Tomorrow is scheduled to be released in IMAX 3D on June 6th.
