The driver who struck and killed a jogger in Hamilton late last year has been sentenced to five years in jail.

Zoë Nudell had reportedly only been in Hamilton for a couple of weeks when she was hit on Charlton Ave E in November. The 33 year old was an artist from halifax.

Police had received a call about a drunk driver and were trying to track him down when Nudell was struck. Joseph Warren, 42, has pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death. In addition to jail time he was also sentenced to a lifetime driving ban.
