Driving skills for life

Newly-licensed drivers can find out – hands on – just how dangerous distracted driving is.
A program called ‘Ford driving skills for life’ is being held in Brampton today. It’s a free, comprehensive course designed to make teens and their parents feel safer on the roads.
Police and Ford officials will be on hand to put young drivers through a “text-and-driving” slalom course. The program is designed to teach them about speed and space management, hazard recognition, and vehicle handling.
According to the Traffic Injury Research Foundation, motor vehicle collisions are a leading cause of death among Canadians under the age of 24.
