PETERBOROUGH — Police say a 63-year-old man is dead after a propane explosion inside a residential trailer on a golf resort east of Peterborough, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to the reported explosion on the Bellmere Winds Golf Resort property around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

OPP say the 63-year-old was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital.

They say he died from his injuries on Thursday.

He is from Warkworth, Ont.

OPP say they continue to investigate the explosion alongside several other partners, including the fire marshal and Ministry of Labour.
