Driver charged in Milton Hwy 401 collision that sends four to hospital

Provincial police have charged a person with dangerous driving causing bodily harm in a single-vehicle collision in Milton that closed part of Highway 401 this morning.

Four people were taken to hospital after the incident near Martin Street around 1:30 a.m. that sent the car into a ditch.

The OPP say two passengers have serious injuries and that the driver and front passenger have minor injuries.

Westbound lanes of the highway were closed at Martin Street for the police investigation and cleanup.

The highway has since fully reopened.
