Driver charged in Milton Hwy. 401 crash that sent four to hospital

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a person with dangerous driving causing bodily harm in a single-vehicle collision in Milton that closed part of Highway 401 on Thursday morning.

Four people were taken to hospital after the crash near Martin Street around 1:30 a.m. sent the car into a ditch.

OPP say two passengers have serious injuries and the driver and front passenger have minor injuries.

Westbound lanes of the highway were closed at Martin Street for the police investigation and cleanup.

The highway has since reopened.
