Driver caught watching TV while speeding in Oakville: Halton police

Halton police have charged a man after he was allegedly caught watching TV while driving in Oakville.
Police pulled over a Mazda 3 in the area of Trafalgar Rd. and Lawson St. after it allegedly sped by an officer going 25 kilometres over the posted speed limit.
In a post on Twitter, Cst. Marc Taraso alleged the driver was watching TV on his cell phone while he was driving.
“You most certainly can not drive while watching TV streaming on your phone, while speeding 25km/h over the limit in a residential area. In fact you can’t do either of those things individually either. It is a sure fire way to get my attention though,” said Taraso.
A 29-year-old man is facing two charges.
