Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal collision involving a dirt bike in Norfolk County.
On Monday at around 10:55 p.m., OPP responded to the crash on Forestry Farm Road in Silver Hill.
Officers say the investigation determined that the dirt bike was travelling along Forestry Farm Road when it left the roadway and collided with a road sign.
Police say the operator, a 35-year-old Norfolk County resident, was airlifted to a trauma centre in critical condition, where they later died due to their injuries.
Forestry Farm Road, between 10th Concession Road and Silver Hill Sideroad, was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage or information that could assist to contact the authorities at 1-888-310-1122.
