Diesel spill closes part of Highway 6 in Flamborough

A tractor-trailer diesel spill has closed part of Highway 6 in Flamborough.

All lanes in both directions are closed between Freelton Road and Concession 11 East for the clean-up.

The OPP says the vehicle struck a guardrail at the road juncture around 3:45 a.m., resulting in a large diesel spill.

No injuries have been reported and the Ministry of the Environment has been notified.

There has been daily construction on Highway 6 between Concession 10 West and Concession 12 East.

The cause of the collision is being investigated.
