Darling is a black and white horror film written and directed by Mickey Keating. Starring Lauren Ashley Carter, Brian Morvant, and Sean Young, the film premiered at Fantastic Fest last year.

A lonely girl’s violent descent into madness.

In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Keating talked about his inspirations for the film. “First and foremost I think the Polanski films are very much there. Repulsion is in there. I love Rosemary’s Baby, I love The Tenant. It’s funny because visually, Darling is pretty similar to Repulsion but The Tenant is actually what I used to make up the backbone of the movie. That was the jumping-off point for setting up the idea that the domestic place is the entity.”
