Many cycled across the City of Hamilton Friday morning to celebrate the joy of winter riding, and highlight the need for year-round road infrastructure maintenance.
Four groups met across the city early in the morning before their rides at: Café Domestiique, the Gage Park Adaptive Bike Hub, the Forsyth Avenue North and Sterling Street Bike Share Hub, and at the Bay Street North and Strachan Street West Bike Share Hub.
All four groups rendezvoused at the end of their rides on King William Street, by RELAY Coffee Roasters, who provided refreshments for the attendees.
King William Street, between James Street North and Hughson Street North, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m..
This annual event marks the International Bike to Work Day, which falls on the second Friday of February, and is hosted by Hamilton’s Sustainable Mobility Team.
