Crash at Niagara Falls pharmacy sends man to hospital

A man was sent to hospital and charged with impaired driving after they allegedly crashed into a Niagara Falls pharmacy Wednesday morning.

Niagara police responded to reports of a crash at a pharmacy in Niagara Falls just before 1 a.m. at Drummond Road and Dunn Street.

Police say that a Toyota Camry had been driven through the storefront and came to a rest inside the building.

Investigators say they believe the driver was impaired by alcohol.

Officers have arrested and charged 39-year-old Robins Jose of Niagara falls with impaired operation and impaired operation exceeding blood alcohol concentration.

Jose was released and is scheduled to appear at a future court date.

Niagara police say they expect to be at the scene for most of the morning.
