Hamilton police bust drug dealer outside of downtown pharmacy

Hamilton police say they have busted a drug dealer who was trading illegal drugs for prescription drugs in front of a pharmacy in the city’s downtown core.

The arrest comes after a month-long investigation dubbed “Project Open Air.”

Officers say 22-year-old Alexandre Tardif of Quebec was charged on Jan. 4 with five offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine and oxycodone.
