A coroner’s inquest to examine the deaths of four inmates at Ontario jails is set to start next Wednesday.
It will examine the death of 25-year-old Shawn Spaulding who died on March 3, 2019 while in custody at the Maplehurst Correctional Complex in Milton and the death of 51-year-old Kevin Mulholland who died on August 15, 2020 while in custody at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre.
The two other deaths examined in this inquest happened at jails in Toronto and London, Ont.
The inquest is expected to last up to 10 days and hear from about 18 witnesses.
