Hamilton’s Barton Street East has been voted CAA’s Worst Road in Ontario, topping the list for the third time in five years.
Through the Worst Roads campaign, CAA empowers Ontario residents to advocate for safer streets by showing governments exactly which infrastructure improvements citizens value most.
Barton Street East, known for its potholes, patchwork surface and heavy truck wear, has routinely ranked high on this list.
In addition to this year, it ranked first in 2022 and 2023.
After topping the 2022 list, the city of Hamilton announced a multi-million dollar repair project to revitalize the area.
Sider Road in Fort Erie was also at the top of this list, ranking as the fourth worst road in Ontario.
