Construction set to begin on major roadway in Paris, Ont. this month
Construction is set to begin this month on Grand River St. North in Paris, Ont. creating changes in traffic in the area.
Grand River St. North will be reduced to one-way southbound traffic, with all northbound traffic detoured along Silver St., Oak Ave. and Scott Ave.
Intersections and driveways in the area will be open but one-to-two-day closures can be expected throughout the duration of the work.
All businesses will remain open for the entire duration of the construction.

Brant County has implemented additional safety measures along detour routes, including speed bumps, speed display signage and a temporary school crosswalk on Oak Ave. at Willow Way.
The County will continue to monitor and add more safety measures as needed.
This is the first phase in a multi-year plan to upgrade the street in response to the Grand River Street North Corridor Environmental Study Report and the Paris Master Servicing Plan.
Phase one will involve a replacement of watermain and sanitary sewers from 100 metres south of Trillium Way to Hartley Ave.
