Cogeco services in multiple regions impacted due to vandalism
A social media post made by Cogeco Monday morning says services in Niagara, Welland and Port Colborne will be impacted due to vandalism.
The media company and provider says fibre optic cables were damaged at just before 8:30 a.m., meaning a complete loss of all services or only the loss of T.V. channels.

They say their local teams are working to restore services as quickly as possible, hoping to begin restore progressively later Monday morning.
Cogeco told CHCH News services are expected to be up and running early this afternoon, with full restoration anticipated by late afternoon.
They said “given the potential impact on 911 services, we strongly recommend having a mobile phone available for emergency situations.”
