It’s a sign Spring is almost here, clocks go ahead an hour early Sunday morning for daylight saving time.

Studies show daylight saving time may be more than a nuisance, it could be bad for our health.

There’s many negative effects of fatigue including decreases in our short term memory, our ability to concentrate and the ability to focus on certain tasks especially motor tasks.

A study done by McMaster University also found there’s a 17 percent increase in the number of fatal car crashes on the Monday after the day we set our clocks ahead.

But the Spring forward means warmer weather is on the way which is offering some hope to residents in the St. Catharines area who’ve had frozen pipes for up to 10 days.
