The Government of Canada has issued a health safety recall on Tuesday for a brand of children’s pyjamas due to a flammability hazard.
Health Canada says the Michley-branded children’s pyjamas violate the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear. This poses a risk of burn injuries to children.
The one-piece pyjamas were sold in green, pink, yellow and purple with various animals on them.
Consumers are warned that loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can easily brush against a hot stove or open flame, igniting quickly and causing severe, widespread burns.
Health officials advise consumers to immediately stop using the recalled product, safely dispose of it and contact SHEIN Distribution Canada Limited for a refund.
