Consumer product recall on vape cartridge due to labelling error

The Government of Canada has issued a health safety recall on a vape cartridge sold in Ontario due to a labelling error.

Health Canada says the Wild West 96+ Strawberry Stampede Liquid Diamonds 510 vape is labelled as having 500 mg of THC per gram when the actual concentration is 981 mg per gram.

Customers are warned that not knowing the accurate THC level in a product could lead to over-intoxication, physical and mental impairment, decreased blood pressure and an elevated heart rate.

Health Canada says in rare cases, a THC overdose can also result in psychotic episodes that in some cases could lead to an emergency department visit or hospitalization.

Customers can return affected products to where they bought them and should report any health concerns online via the Cannabis Reporting Form.
