Carleton brand mushrooms recalled due to possible Listeria contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is alerting the public that a brand of mushrooms is being recalled due to possible Listeria contamination. 

Packages of Carleton brand sliced white, organic sliced white and sliced cremini mushrooms, as well as PC Organic brand sliced white mushrooms are being recalled. 

The mushrooms were sold in Ontario and Quebec and possibly other regions of the country in 227 gram packages. 

Anyone with a package with a best before date of November 8, should throw out the mushrooms or return them to the store where they were purchased. 

Symptoms of Listeria can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness.
