They Came Together

They Came Together stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler as, Joel and Molly,  a couple of New Yorkers destined to find love in the Big Apple.

When they first meet, Joel and Molly can’t stand each other, but that initial hate soon grows into a romance for the ages. Joel – a corporate type guy at a mega candy firm must put Molly’s quirky indie candy store out of business. And even though Molly’s attracted to him, she can’t abandon her business and responsibilities as a single mom and act on her feelings. When they are further tempted by other opportunities it seems like this New York love story might not blossom – but don’t worry, it does thanks to the trusty conventions of the romantic-comedy genre.

The rom-com farce comes from co-writers David Wain and Michael Showalter. The pair previously collaborated on Wet Hot American Summer, a play-on ‘the summer camp movie’ which also starred Rudd. Wain directs They Came Together which features an incredible ensemble cast including, Bill Hader, Ellie Kemper, Jason Mantzoukas, Ed Helms, Cobie Smulders, Max Greenfield and Melanie Lynskey.

They Came Together is rated 14A.
