Burlington store honouring Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a week tomorrow, but according to displays and music already in stores shoppers may think Halloween transitioned directly into Christmas season.

It may be looking a lot like christmas in some store windows, but not at Bush’s Men’s Wear in downtown Burlington. Passersby see vintage uniforms, photos, ship flags and other war memorabilia.

This year will be the 100 anniversary of the armistice which ended the First World War, November 11, at 11 a.m. in 1918.

Canada plans to celebrate with bells. Church bells will ring across the nation at sundown on November 11th to mark the centennial.
