Hamilton police are asking drivers to adjust their Friday morning commutes in the area of Barton Street due to an ongoing police investigation.

Officers say Barton Street is closed from Fruitland Road to Jones Road in Stoney Creek.

On Thursday at around 8 p.m., officers were called to this area for a situation that turned into a police investigation.

Police say roads are expected to reopen shortly.
