Brantford police investigating suspicious barn fire

Brantford police are investigating a fire they have deemed suspicious in the area of Mount Pleasant and Conklin roads.

At approximately 3:36 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a barn fire. Upon arriving on scene, they found a large wooden barn fully engulfed in flames.

Once firefighters contained and extinguished the blaze, Brantford officers attended the scene and took over the investigation.

Authorities are not reporting any injuries as a result of the fire, but add there is significant damage to the property.

The fire has been deemed suspicious by police. Investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
