Brant County man finds artillery shell

A Brant County man had quite the surprise while doing some home renovations. He found an old artillery shell.

A Canadian Forces bomb disposal team was sent to the residence to investigate, and determined that the ordnance was an 8kg World War 2 artillery shell.

The shell had been de-activated, but police say the homeowner did the right thing by calling for help, since it usually takes an expert to determine if something like this is safe.
