Bosma accused Noudga gets bail

(Updated) The woman accused as an accessory after the fact to the murder of Tim Bosma is out of jail tonight. The one-time girlfriend of Dellen Millard has been granted bail while she awaits trial.
In a chaotic scene just a few moments ago, Christina Nougda left the courthouse after getting bail. She did not answer any of the questions reporters had about the case but she did have a small smile on her face while she walked to the car with her parents.
Conditions of the bail is that she is out on $100,000 surety — that came from her parents. She’ll stay under house arrest and she has to wear an ankle bracelet. She can only travel between school — she goes to York University — and her work. She’s not to have any contact with Dellen Millard and a small number of others.
She was arrested back in April of 2014 and has been in prison ever since then. There was a three-day long bail hearing last week and the decision didn’t come down until today. A little while after the decision, we spoke to her family lawyer Paul Mergler and this is what he had to say: “Very grateful that his honour considered all the relevant factors. I have a client with no criminal record whose anxious to return to university. She grateful that this phase of the ordeal is over and hopes to return to some degree of normalcy — not that there’s any degree of normalcy in a situation like this. And, ultimately we will go to trial.
Now of all the evidence given over that three-day period, we can’t speak about it because it is covered under a publication ban. That ban also prevents her parents from being named.
Now, I spoke about the woman who got out today. The family of Tim Bosma was here today. Sharlene Bosma was not in the courtroom. She was told not to as she could potentially be a witness down the road. But she was standing outside the courtroom. We asked her if she wanted to comment today. They said simply ‘there’s nothing to say’.
As she has throughout the bail hearing, she tends to walk in and smile at her family, smile at her supporters she’s had — she only had one supporter today. And the whole time anything’s argued or read out, she seems very stone-faced, looking straight forward, straight ahead, making eye contact with a few people during breaks. Seeming very calm.
