Bantleman’s brother appealing to Ottawa

The brother of a Burlington man being held without charges in an Indonesian jail is in Ottawa today.
Guy Bantleman will meet with the department of foreign affairs to see what they can do for Neil Bantleman. He’ll remain behind bars in Jakarta for another 40 days while police investigate claims involving three kindergarten students.
His brother has been told that the chief of police has instructed his investigative team to complete their review of the case, and to send the evidence to the prosecuting office. Prosecutors will then have 14 days to determine if there’s a case to move to trial.
Neil has been in prison for over two weeks.
The 45 year old has taught at the Jakarta International School for four years, along with his wife Tracy.
