At Middleton

At Middleton is a romantic comedy starring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga as the single parents of two college-bound children, all taking a tour of their prospective new campus. The two empty-nesters eventually decide to ditch the tour and wander the campus on their own, reminiscing about their own academic years. The afternoon of fun turns into an experience that will change both of their lives.

At Middleton also stars Taissa Farmiga, Vera’s real life sister, but playing her daughter in the film. She is the youngest of seven children and is 21 years younger than her Oscar nominated sibling. The other college student is portrayed by Toronto native Spencer Lofranco. First time feature writer/director Adam Rodgers came up with the idea for the film after having a similar experience five years ago when he was touring colleges. The fictional Middleton was created by combining footage shot on location at Gonzaga College and Washington State University.
