NASA is establishing a new frontier when it comes to deep space travel and lunar exploration.

Astronauts aboard Artemis II are already setting a new record for the farthest human travel from earth and tonight they’re set to fly around the moon.

The crew – consisting of canadian jeremy hansen and three other astronauts – broke Apollo 13’s record, set back in 1970.

The historic moment was captured Monday, as the Orion spacecraft surpassed a distance of 248,655 miles from Earth.
