Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and her united Conservatives have forced striking teachers back to work.

Using their caucus majority they were able to pass time limiting legislature that restricted debate and ram-rodded bill 2, otherwise known as the back to school act, through the legislature.

The bill passed it’s third and final reading at 2am with a lot of vocal frustration from the opposition.

NDP leaders there calling the use of the notwithstanding clause an abuse of government power, forcing teachers back on the job after being on strike for three weeks.
