Two people face drug trafficking charges in Minto, Ont.

A Toronto man and North York woman are facing drug trafficking charges after a quantity of meth was seized during a traffic stop in Minto, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say a vehicle was pulled over on George St. around 3 p.m. on Friday.

Police say the investigation led to the arrest of both the driver and passenger of the vehicle.

Vassana Jittavong, 53, and Niphol Wiwitchai, 27, have both been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking meth.

Jittavong was also found to be in possession of nine stolen debit cards and is facing additional charges.
