Burlington blaze consumes cars
An overnight blaze in Burlington destroyed two cars in a residential driveway and spread to a garage, causing extensive damage.
Firefighters arrived at a Deerhurst Dr address about 4:30 this morning to find two cars burning in the driveway. Although the fire spread to the garage, firefighters were able to stop it from entering the home.
A family of three people were evacuated while crews ventilated the house. Officials suspect the blaze started in the engine of a Volvo and spread to another car.
Damage is estimated at $100,000; no one was injured.
