Toronto police investigate two overnight stabbings

Toronto police are investigating two overnight stabbings in the city.

The first occurred before 4am in the King Street West and Spadina Avenue area.

Police do not have a description of the suspect and are asking the public for witnesses to come forward.

The second stabbing happened about a half-hour later in the St. Clair Avenue East and Birchmount Road area of Scarborough.

One person is in hospital with a serious but non-life threatening injury. One person is in custody in this incident.

No word if the two incidents are related. Police are continuing their investigations.
