The crown wrapped up its case in St. Catharines Tuesday in the trial of Loujack Cafe, the Hamilton man accused of killing 82-year-old George Burnett.
Burnett was found dead in his bed back in 2011, after he was stabbed more than 40 times. On Tuesday morning, the defence finished its cross examination of a detective who was in charge of examining Loujack Cafe’s internet accounts. The jury was sent home by the judge, and was told that they should expect to start deliberations by the end of the week.
It’s still unclear if the defence will call any evidence, or if Loujack Cafe will testify in his own defence.
