Man faces charges after Pelham hit and run

Niagara police say a Pelham teen is expected to recover after being hit by a car Friday.

The 17-year-old girl was walking with friends along Canboro Road near Church Hill in Fonthill early Friday.

Police say a car drove up behind them, left the road, and hit two of them throwing the girl a few metres. The car sped off towards Fenwick.

Police found a smashed up vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

41-year-old Anderson Wormald has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident while causing bodily harm.
