Oakville man arrested for stabbing known victim

An Oakville man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing someone he knew.

The incident happened early Monday morning at a home on Churchill Avenue in Oakville.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for a puncture wound, and later released that evening.

David Thompson, 50, is facing aggravated assault and failing to comply with a weapons prohibition charges.

Thompson was expected in court today.
