Heat warning in effect for Southern Ontario

Heat warnings remain in effect across Southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says very high temperatures and humidity conditions can pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Some of the signs of heat stroke may include, nausea, headaches, and dizziness.
Lynda Lukasik, Executive Director of Environment Hamilton, says children and the elderly are the most vulnerable but during a serious heat wave like what we are experiencing, everyone needs to take it easy outdoors.
If you do choose to exercise or work outdoors during a heat wave, Lukasik says it’s important to monitor how you feel and stop for lots of water.
