Man struck on Hwy. 401 while filling up washer fluid

One man has suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 401 near Liverpool Rd.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the man pulled onto a ramp to fill his car with windshield washer fluid when he was hit by a vehicle that lost control.

The man was not seriously hurt but police say people should not be getting out of their vehicles unless there is an emergency.
