Toronto marine units will continue their recovery efforts Friday morning after a car crashed into Toronto harbour.
Police were called to the harbour late Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a car crashing through a guardrail and plunging into the frigid waters.
The recovery was suspended shortly after 6 p.m due to unsafe conditions and low visibility. One person who jumped into the lake to help the driver was later treated for hypothermia.
Toronto Fire said they believe the driver may still be in the car, but that has yet to be confirmed.
