A Michigan woman is dead following a motorcycle crash on the 403 in Brantford.

OPP were called to the crash near Oak Park just before 11:30 yesterday morning.  Police say a husband and wife from Michigan were riding eastbound on the 403 towards Hamilton, when the driver lost control and drove into a ditch. The two were thrown off their Harley Davidson motorcycle.  50 year-old Michelle Huggins, of Sterling Heights, was taken to hospital, where she later died.  The driver suffered minor injuries.

A stretch of the 403 was shut down for over four hours as police investigated, causing major backup on the off-ramps.
