Symptoms of dyslexia could be present even before a child starts to read.

Researchers found children who had trouble with visual attention, meaning they struggled when trying to pick out certain symbols amid distractions, were the ones who later had trouble reading.

They say simple visual attention tasks can fix this problem and this research may change the way they treat children with dyslexia.
