All COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Ontario are set to reopen today after some closures during the holidays.
After having five in operation over the weekend and 10 in operation yesterday, the province says all 19 of them are set to resume immunizations today.
Reports say more than 11,000 shots have been administered in Ontario since receiving the first shipment of the Pfizer-BioTech vaccine mid-month.
Due to storage requirements, the Pfizer vaccine will primarily be used in hospitals.
The recently approved Moderna vaccine will be used in long-term care homes, congregate settings, and rural communities.
Some have been critical about the province’s pause in vaccinations over the holiday saying Ontario cannot afford to have vaccination delays.
