The deadly reality of the COVID-19 pandemic is being felt for the first time in Hamilton.

An 80-year-old woman from a Stoney Creek nursing home died in hospital this morning, the city’s first COVID-19 related death.

There are now at least 35 cases of the virus in Hamilton, with more being detected every day.
