A grocery store in Hamilton’s east end had to clear all of its meat after a theft from its roof Tuesday.
Hamilton police say nearly $50,000 worth of copper lines were stolen shortly after 1 p.m. at the Franco’s No Frills on Queenston Rd.
The copper lines are essential to operate the store’s refrigeration units, which is why all perishable food was taken off of the shelves.
The grocery store does not have security cameras on its roof, meaning there are no images of who cut the lines.
