A woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton’s east end.

Hamilton police say the collision happened around 11:54 p.m. Thursday on Kenilworth Avenue North, between Britannia and Hope avenues.

A Honda Civic travelling southbound struck the 19-year-old who was on the roadway.

She was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the male driver — who was not injured — remained on scene and has been cooperating with investigators, who were at the scene until Friday morning.

Witnesses and anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the incident are asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753 or reconunit@hamiltonpolice.ca.
